Introducing: Devout Recital

We're a relatively new band and recently recorded our demo.

For a band that sites influences as "Avenged Sevenfold" and "Alter Bridge", I find none of the above influencing "These Last Words".

Okay, I hear a little bit of Alter Bridge in this.

Regarding your song, I feel that your band aspires to be like Alter Bridge, Creed, etc. Except it has been watered down a fair bit. The instruments don't sound... powerful. It feels very dampened. Vocals wise, it is smooth, soothing, and good.

I really can't do much of a compare and contrast, considering you only have one song. A re-recording would probably do it more justice.

Still, its a good try. 6/10 or 7/10 in my opinion. Keep it up

Hey, thanks for the feedback!
We have to agree with you regarding the sound of the instruments and we're also in the process of re-recording our demo. Basically, we paid quite a sum for this demo and were rather disappointed with its mixing.

Our vocalist extends his thanks on your feedback and would appreciate more of your constructive comments in future.

Yea, I'm sorry but I'm kinda tired so I wish I could write much more =/
One thing I must say about the vocals, is that if you want to emulate AB, the vocals needs to... "fly". I'm not sure how to go about doing this but it needs to give pple the feeling that its flying.

Swell. Looking forward to a re-recorded song. Hopefully its good when it comes out
