Hey all,
You can call me Séance, phonetically pronounced as above, seia:ns. I'm male btw, in case you might get disappointed. Kind of wanna do this but felt a little shy. Too bored at work today so I decided to do this anyway.
Well, I've always been a sucker for guitars. Don't know why. So I picked up my first classical guitar at age 15. Took lessons but they bored me silly & I went to self practise for a while. Typical for guys, NS claimed 730 days of our lives & my fingers cramped up too rigid to play a guitar.
However, my perspection of music never left, & I worked as a DJ cum showhost for around 3yrs after that before I finally came in the sales line. Working as a DJ really enticed me to pick up a guitar again & start making playing. I had a dream of incorporating guitar riffs & licks into electronic dance & breakbeats genres. At the same time, I also listen to alternative, rock & fusion, all the stuff as long as a guitar is mainly involved. Fav bands include older ones like Led Zeppelin, Metallica, Firehouse, X-Japan, to newer ones like Creed, All American Rejects, God Or Julie, Saosin & Goo Good Dolls, Daughtry, YellowCard, er... lots more. Think I'm getting long winded.
Anyway, I just got myself a BC Rich Warlock & started playing, though Im still quite stuck in the acoustic style playing & need to re-blister my finger tips all over again. In other words I still suck. Also know a little of drums, would like to learn an electric bass & figuring out how the hell double pedalist's coordinate.
Hoping to learn more from the music lovers in SG, make more friends within common interests, & know a few other noobs like myself to practise together if possible. Cheer me on ok ppl?
