Hey guys... I'm 19 this year, in NUS (got disrupted from army) and have played the bass for 2 years.
Had musical training since 4, starting with the organ and my path had been a classical one till J1 when I joined my school's jazz club and started seriously going into modern music. Now I listen to all kinds of music, appreciate all kinds, and utmost preference is anything with funk/soul in it.
By that I mean the musicianship level has to be so high that he can convey whatever he/she wants in simple ideas. That's the basic level that I love music. Of course I still love many of the head bopping music with tons of bass. =D
Currently in NUS Jazz Band as well, trying to set up my club in there, and learning lots of new stuff on the bass. Current bass is a J&D six-string and hoping to gig soon. =)
