Intro: Ang Moh in Singapore

Hi all,

I'm probably one of the very few ang mohs on this forum, I guess :). I'm a part-time freelance bassist (doing automotive software as a main job), originally from Germany, but lived in Singapore for 1.5 years a while ago (Hall 6, NTU, anyone?). I come back to Singapore quite regularly since my wife is Singaporean :D.

I just came back here and will be in Singapore for three weeks, so I'd love to meet some people, attend a few nice concerts etc. I know I just missed the SOFT bassist's gathering, but if you know of any nice funk/soul/rn&b concerts or any bass related stuff coming up, please let me know!

My main focus as a musician is contemporary Gospel stuff (Israel & New Breed, Kirk Franklin), soul, R&B, pop, and church stuff. Mostly live, but doing recording also.

Regards,
Christian

Three weeks only?

Well, can you smell George Clinton and the Roots within a mth's time. And if you like, there's Incubus and Maroon 5 next month as well.

INSANE!!!

Guten Tag?

Wie geht es Ihnen?

Ich heisse James und Ich bin achtzehn jahre altz.

Hahaha. I attend german lessons in school. still not so good at it. Hope you can understand :D

(correct me if i made any mistakes :p)

Ja lor, better than nothing :).

Sounds good (especially Clinton & Maroon 5), but hey, where's the Singaporean bands? :)

I actually typed out a reply this afternoon but it screwed up and didn't appear. Well, here goes again.

If you're staying only three weeks, you're gonna miss the Mosaic Music Fest (starts 7th march). But not to fret, there's still the NUS Arts Fest, kicking off this weekend. There are a good bunch of local bands who're participating in that.

Lastly, if you're familiar with Time Out (London), there's the local version too.
