Installation of floyd rose

its going to be quite a big project that may not really be worth the money.. the gax has something like a tuneomatic bridge right? if it does your guitar would most probably have an angled headstock... and i dont think the floyd would be able to fit with the angle headstock.. also it would require to recess the floyd cavity which would be alot of work.. and not to mention the cost of the floyd itself... if you are insistant on a big project like this then i think you must as well install a good floyd like the OFR or Edge bridge to make your mod worthwhile... wouldnt make much sense to install a buggy lo-trs bridge 
but the cost of the mod would almost allow you go get a decent guitar with a floyd and stuff that require taking out chunks of wood from your guitar would definitely affect the sound quality unless you want a semi-hollow 8)

the original floyd cost ard 420 while to cut the cavity for the trem i think should be ard 150 or more since the rear part of the guitar need to be routed as well. U might like to get an Ibanez Rg with edge trem for that kind of money. (Should be ard 700++) or hunt for a second hand RG.
and u might face new "problems" after getting the trem as well.
Basically like "how to keep the guitar in tune"and setting the height of strings...

the 2nd hand rg market is pretty good in sg lots of good condition 2nd hands going around for like $400+ for the RG4XX series and $500+++ for the 5XX series... imho that 5XX series look like great guitars although i havent tried one but i may be getting a RG470 with emgs for $600.. the guy insists that the bridge is a lo-pro but says bought around '02... they only changed the lo-trs to lo-pro in the 470 in '03 so im not sure... anyway i was looking to put in emgs into my next guitar so i know what i want even though its a 4XX series.. but imo you should get a MIJ ibanez.. and in the 4XX series i think you need to be careful cos some 4XXs are korean.. and those below 4 are all korean
edit: btw where do you find OFRs? the only place i see them is in ebay and those arent in the best of conditions.. but its not reall $400+ more of $100USD at most and with shipping at the most maybe $250SGD

saw at Swee Lee the other time its retail price 420 i think..
Not sure if it can fit the rg .Anyway its gold in colour and i hate that colour..prefer black..
well for me i go for ibz edge pro..just go for any jpn made it should be ok...

Well, good luck with the edge pros....I've got a RG1550 white, and the action was so ridiculously low that it took me almost 1 whole month to learn a new picking style coz my old style picking would hit the pickups everytime....
