input jack problem

the nut at my input jack keeps coming out even when i tighten it, it's still lose and comes out once in awhile. Is there anything i can do? :?

super glue .

maybe ur net spoil . u need to tighten both the inside and outside nut at the same time .. got 2 nuts i think

Hmm.

I've tried cutting a thin strip of masking tape and pasting it around the jack itself, such that when the nut is tightened, it squeezes against the masking tape, and there is a sort of resistance towards the nut, such that the more you tighten, the less likely the jack will come loose.

And oh yeah do you use a proper wrench to tighten your jack nut? I tend to be somewhat lazy and just use a pair of pliers which may not be the best way forward but it does get the job done.

do u screw u pack plate out and tighten both the inside and outside nuts? cuz if u do it only on the outside nut then i think the inside nut will just move in the same way and u will end up twisting ur jack's wire...

if u tried both, try getting a spring washer that looks like an o ring but its disjointed and 1 side is slightly above the other (like a spring)

that should prevent nuts from getting lose... i dunno where to get though... i'm also trying to find 1 the right size for my jack
