Ibanez vs Epiphone vs Rally

Im looking for my 1st electric but im kinda stuck betweeb those three brands of guitars. My budget is about

generally speaking ibanez is quite different from epiphone and rally.. what features are you looking for for your guitar?

Err.... i play ACDC, Guns 'n Roses, Nirvana (on my classical) i know its kinda stupid which is why i want an electric. So what should i be looking out for and any recomendations?? Thanks

maybe you should take the lead from your guitar heroes? sounds like you would be happy with an epiphone, but a LP standard would be over your budget, but i think the 800 bucks will be money well spent since 400 dollar guitars are seldom of good quality

Ibanez is very different in terms of feel and sound compared to Epiphone and rally (I assume you're looking at a les Paul model).

I'd say for your music style, get the rally les Paul standard. I've tried the guitar before and it's a great guutar. Go down to Sv guitar to give it a test run before buying.

For your budget, you won't be able to get a decent Epiphone.

Thanks guys, another thing, im not keen to join any band or gigs, just for playing @ home. So im looking at marshall mg15 msII. Is it more than what I need or just right?? Really appreciate ur advice

If you're going jamming, the msII will be super troublesome to carry around since it's a head and 2 stacks.

But for home use, it's a great amp. I'm using one myself. 4 channels. Nice amp

Woah....rally were lisenced epiphone makers?? Cool...Something else that im not so clear about is that arent amplifiers/effects the ones that affect the sound produced?? So why do ppl say this guitar sounds different from that. etc.

Basically, EVERYTHING affects the sound produced. Type of wood, shape of guitar, pickups, strings, cable, amp, pedal and the list goes on. At your stage, you dont need to bother abt this kind of things. Its just too much to worry about. Just get a guitar you feel comfortable with and enjoy playing it!

Ive got my Rally GL 300 just about two months ago, its my first guitar. I have to say im really satisfied with it. Not much complaints except that the weight might be a little too heavy. Many people say the Rally gl 300 is the equivalent of Ephiphone Standard Les Paul!

Rally is available at SVguitars (Thats where i bought mine)

The best is try out yourself!

Base on the requirements you mention, GL-300 can't go wrong. Give it a try at sv.
