Hi there,

I'm considering these two basses but do not know what to choose. The price for these two are about the same. Only 100 dollar different. Anyone to recommend this?

Thanks.

If you want a brighter sound and light go for lakland cause ash wood is lighter. If u want a warmth sound go for ibanez cause its mahagony and its a bit heavy then ash. But the ibanez neck is smaller so its easier to play and bubinga wood is good. Similar to warwick.

Thanks for your comment. If I can get Lakland 55-02 used bass then is good as the new one is about 2.2k. In terms of action, which one is lower? Ibanez or lakland.

lakland for me.

I have this logic but it's up to you whether it makes sense.

I always believe that if there's a brand that specifically makes that product, buy that instead

I've never tried a Lakland, but I've an Ibanez SR755. I can say for sure that the action on my Ibby is very, very low. Apart from that, I love the slim necks, perfect for small-handed players like me lol

Edit: Oh and weight-wise, it's pretty damned light. Around 4.4kg, for a 5'er mind you..
