Ibanez Rules!

My LCD TV broke down a few days ago and I've been in a crappy mood since then.
But at least one thing did cheer me up today.
Came back from work and found a USPS Express Mail box in my room.
My Ibanez Edge Pro temolo kit that I ordered from ibanezrules.com has arrived!!!

There were some problems with the order though.
I had sent my payment (US$265 + $45 for shipping) to Rich Harris (the guy from ibanezrules) but he found out there was an error in his inventory.
While his spreadsheet showed that there were at least 2 units in stock his actual inventory was nil.
He asked me if I could wait cos he had just placed an order for 5 more units but it would take take quite a while.
Or he could sell me one with some slight scratches on the cosmo finish for US$195 +$45.

After looking at the pics that he sent me of the scratched unit I didn't think it looked that bad.
I decided to get that piece and asked him to refund the balance of the payment I sent him.
Everyting went well and he shipped it on 17th November.

It finally arrived today and after inspecting the unit honestly, I can't see any of the scratches on the finish like the ones in the pics he sent me.
Did he sent me the same one? Who knows?
All I know is I'm very happy with what I got. :)

The Box - quite big for a small tremolo unit.

Wrap - all packed in bubble wrapping.

The Whole Set - tremolo bidge, arm, allen keys, springs and claw, posts, and extra bushings for the arm.

expensive leh. for what I know one store in Singapore is selling the edge pro itself for like $250 sgd. I've got to say that Rich is a great guy though.

nice catch! The only bad thing about ibanez trems are that they tend to rust after awhile, especially the cosmo black finishes. I know mine did.

You should consider the Gotoh Floyd...do a search for reviews. Some edge pro owners have swapped out their rusty trems for a gotoh one and there was no turning back.

that is true. it is a good thing that Gotoh trems can fit into the Ibanez Edge Pro route. however if the Ibanez guitars that were routed for Edge Pro could fit an Ibanez Edge or Lo-pro, we'd have think thrice about our choice :)

Dun think a gotoh floyd can fit in the Edge Pro Routing. I tried it. U need to Sand away quite a fair bit to fit.

oh really? curse that small routing! all my Ibanez guitars are all pre 2003 so its good cos I have the flexibility.

tried Schaller or OFR?

The worst part is I tried fitting an Edge pro into an Edge/lo-pro routing. Edge Trems are smaller. LOL. The things fits in, just that the block, Blocks u from trem-ing up. LOL.
