Is that true? I realise some models are now made in indonesia. Like rg321? When did it happen? Or im wrong, and ibanez had been doing that for lower end models?

Oops. didn't read your title.

No no, production not going to indo... some axes, the gio series, are Made in Indonesia.

rg321 is MIT?

i saw this pix in ebay

Hmmm...

*double checking*

Correct. Apparently, for 06, ibanez moved all korean models to indonesia except for the RGT42DX.

having moved their production to korea and indonesia etc, is the quality of the guitars reduced a lot?

maybe not, made in indonesia isnt that bad, i had a pac112 that is really had good construction. (hey btw i heard that the factory was burnt down_

lucky i had a few ibanez model with me i didnt sell

so means that the SZ series also will go to indonesia...hmm...hope indonesia will make the guitar as good as the korea made...

well, with CNC, you just need the machine there and good QC. Your guitars will rock no matter where you build them.

Its true. The country of origin arguements of yesterday are no longer applicable to today.

yup but some indo ones are real good. take those of yamaha for example. but china ones are getting good too :D

let's not forget that selected Prestige models are still made in Korea.

is the crowd here swayed by the country of origin?

ditto.

we should value quality makes & playability offerings, but some people just get too caught up with the country of origin association.
