I need some help / advice

Hmm.

Hey all. Okay... so a couple of months ago, I bought a 2nd hand Epiphone Firebird which came with a hardcase. Me, being smitten by the beautiful colour and shape and exotic sounds coming out of it, did not take into consideration that the hardcase was pretty much too huge to even fit into my dad's boot, and once I even had to bring it on the mrt... not a good situation.

So. Thing is, I know I made a bad move by not doing enough homework.. so please don't rub it in, twist the knife etc.

I need some help. Some recommendations. I've been scouting for softcases / gig bags for thunderbirds / firebirds and obviously these weird-shaped instruments require much larger gig bags than usual.

So far the only two possible candidates for the job are:
1. a pretty well padded B.C Rich bass bag which I found at Davis going for $65, and
2. as per recommendation from someone I know.. a thunderbird bass bag from Red Dot music going for $200 plus.

I sincerely would appreciate any kind of leads you guys out there may know of, and I look forward to hearing you guys out! Cheers!

You can try those rectangular shaped soft case / gig bags.. Many places sell them. they are pretty much for any type of guitar shapes.

Hmm.

yeah man I totally get that... which is the B.C. Rich one I mentioned in the above post. However, the thing about the Firebird is that it's pretty much 2 inches shorter than, say a Stingray bass... so nothing short (no pun intended) of a bass guitar gig bag with loads of padding would be suitable... any other recommendations, perhaps?

Warwick

Hey bro, a Warwick Rockbag will definitely fit the Firebird.. I used to have one and i used the Rockbag for storage. It goes for around $55 at Davis i think..
