I need help on pedals!

Hey guys,
I just started gigs and stuff 5 months ago until now, & all the time im been using my friend's podxt.
It was fun to use but i decided i wanna just move on and get my own analog pedals, but it was total dilemma cuz there are just too many pedals around.
So i was wondering, any good suggestions of pedals and stuff? Like which pedals to start with and slowly get the others
Im currently aiming to get a sansampgt2 1st.
Every comments and feedbacks would be appreciated.

Oh and btw, i dont really have a budget but my pay is coming in 3 days time, so i'm hoping i could get 1 or 2 pedals out of it. Moderate prices would be the best ard 100 - 200 SGD per pedal. I'm into rock alternative with abit of screamings here and there, like story of the year, anberlin and ivoryline.

hi there,

i guess sansamp gt-2 will be a good choice as it's really versatile. But it gets noisy at higher gain. Maybe u can take a look at some modulations or delay pedals (cheap ones like EHX small clone(chorus), or DD-3(delay) ) after u get ur drive pedal.

Why don't you start by telling us what were the 2 efx you used the most on the pod? That way, we can recommend you the different pedals for different efx ; )

Ahh, damn the pod aint with me now.

Im used all 4 channel, distortion, phraser, clean and delay.

Im not sure of all the channels effects name thou, its been awhile since i touch that pod.

But im pretty sure the distortion was something like Line6 Mesa or Acoustic.

For phraser and delay, i keep changing it depending on the song.
