Basically, you explore your problem. it could either be because of:
-Your pickups
-your cable
-your effects
-your amp
for pick ups, i don't really know how to make it work unless you change them, sorry about that. Try asking around. I've heard that rewiring your guitar with some kinda wire can help.
cablewise, try investing in more in better cables. Planet Wave did the trick for me. This applies to even your patch cables that you use for your effects.
Some effects can cause lots of humming. like my wah pedal and espacially certain distortion pedals and also certainmulti-effect pedals. so bad i just can't be bothered to use it. try using battries or a good adapter. it's usually the distortion that causes the humming. in that case try lowering down your dist level. I'm suing a boss DS-2, on prob with it so far. for adapters, try using onespot adapters. Keep in mind, humming can also come from your daisy chain.
For amps, check your power cable. see if it's a 2 pin or 3 pin. if it's a 2 pin, try grounding it. grounding means using a 3 pin instead. also likewise, don't blast your dist level. personally, more than 3 o-clock is way too much.
1)to start off, try jacking in your guitar in the amp straight in clean. if there is humming, then it's either your cable, guitar or amp. If you change guitar that doesn't have that prob and there is humming. the it's your cable or amp.
2)try turning on the dist. If there is humming, then it's also either your cable, pick up or amp. likewise, changing guitar that doesn't have that prob and there is humming. the it's your cable or amp. most of the time it's usually the amp.
3)if you tried steps 1 and 2 and there's no humming, then it's your pedal.
