Now..this is a funny question...the body of the gibson is made in such a way...it has a belly mid section... to me when i look at it...the neck and the body dont match up..is this normal? i hate to bring it to a shop to check and have them chew me up for consultation fees.

another thingy...whats the best way to string a EDGE trem? any website with pictures and explantory?

thanks!~

hey bro- i'm trying to interpret your query here; are you trying to ask whether the gibson neck doesn't protrude from the body in a straight manner like a strat, instead it's pitched backwards like the picture above?

it's cut in half?u mad ah sub?haha...

to bigrockshow,

yes, gibson LP's and its cheaper siblings from epiphone does have the neck tilted toward the back (see diagram) as opposed to teles/strats. i'm not sure the reason/rational behind this. but IMO it certainly adds to the tone/sustain of LP's in general. the tokai or other copies, i'm not sure if the construction is similar.

hopefully this is helpful to ur queries. btw, the pic of the halved LP is a "Black Beauty", notice the 3 p/u "holes".

lol

actually the neck is angle backwards because of the use of tuneomatic bridge

look at all guitars with tuneomatic bridges, the neck is angled backwards

unless the tuneomatic is recessed, which is very uncommon, guitars with such bridges will always have a neck angled back

hahahhhhahahha! yeah, i've seen that u hav answered the query, and sub too! but i jus want to give him a clearer picture in case he dun get it. (not that i am insulting his intelligence or the validity of ur post...) anyway i feel that more info will help with the answering of the question. hehehehhhe... btw, u still at ranking? (ignore that if i got the wrong person...)

i'm not sure if that is true, i used to own an epiphone 335 but it dun hav that 'angle'. and i've played on my friend's les paul special (with the flat top), randy rhoads v and peavey van halen with the stop tailpiece. hmmmmm... maybe i'm wrong... then i ought to be shot for giving the wrong info! hahahhhahahha!

LOL thanks guys for the interesting post and efforts..i was away for awhile so i couldnt check back. yeah its interesting why its bent towards the player..so i guess mine's fine and dandy!~
