How do i set up a strat neck? Do i set it up in a way that the neck is straight with the body or tilted back a bit or tilt it forward? Which way do i turn the truss rod also? Help me thanks

you need to set the neck up only if it requires a set-up, otherwise, leave it be.

maybe you can tell us why your neck requires a tweaking...

Thought the strings tension was something to do with the neck, so tweaked the neck. Tension of the strings become lesser, but the string height became higher.

Bro, righty tighty, lefty loosey.

tighten it to straighten your neck, loosen it to create a relief or bow.

if you tighten too much it will create a back bow which will cause your open strings to buzz. if you loosen it to much it will create a concave bow which will increase your string height.

if you want to increase tension of your string, better use a higher gauged strings.

if you are dealing with a neck warp, its effect on tension is minimal. the action set-up (how high your strings are off the frets) would be more relevant to this. don't go tweaking your neck not knowing it's not the cause of tension-related (strings) problems.
