How to remove floyd rose stud inserts?

Hi guys,

I was wondering, how do you guys remove the floyd rose stud inserts? My new floyd rose seem to have the exact spacing as my old one, so there's no other filling required, but the problem is the stud screw didn't fit and that the old stud is rusty. I need to replace the stud inserts but am finding trouble with removing the inserts. Any suggestions?

Is the guitar expensive or irreplaceable ? If yes .. best bring to shop
They have special stud puller to remove studs.

is the stud drilled all the way through or is it a blind hole?
if it is a blind hole, you can try filling up the stud with thick grease, and then screw the stud screw back in.
The pressure of the grease could push the stud out.

You can also buy/build your own stud puller like so

If its more the diy kind guitars, you can diy by putting in old (aka can throw away) studs screws into the
existing studs, use a needle nose plier, clamp the stud screw in middle of plier so that the nose is farther away from the stud screw, but some piece of scrape wood under the nose for support and to protect the guitar, and use the wood/nose to leverage it out.

Good luck
