how to read drum tabs?

hey
normally got like for example the song below ( the reason )

H = hi hat
S = snaredrum
B = Bass drum
1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ( is the counting )

you know i reckon these computer style drum tabs are gonna be a big part of reading notes in the future. i dun think its gonna change muc for the western world but asia i reckon its gonna be fairly common, u might get people who read these drum tabs real well and not been able to read trad notations. not a bad thing but an evolution
 
dude...IMO there isnt much need for the tabs..

back then when i was a drummer..i played without tabs..juz need the base tempo..den the rest are juz fills and stuff like that..

juz listen to the song..den do stunt..add ur own fills..juz remember to keep the timing..

its fun tt way..

tts juz my opinion la...everyone may beg to differ.
 
IMO, drum tabs will only work if the sound is simple. I can't see it being used in a busy drum part context. So, I feel that all drummers should learn how to at least how to read drum scores.

mxtabs teach you how to read tabs. mxtabs used to be my source of tabs, though i dint really use them. just look-see. but sadly, mxtabs is gone.
 
oh, heh. there was one playback thing. some programme i saw last time like you feed it tabs and they play it for you. i thought that was quite cool.
