hi I wanted to ask whatz a a good set-up to get for getting good rap vocals thru my laptop at home. Is a samson g-track or co3 usb mic good enough. any tips on set-up would be appreciated too thanks

First thing first, you would need to have a good audio interface which I would recommend going for something abit higher end like the presonus firebox since you're going for professionalism which to reduce the latency in your DAW as well as to provide multiple sound sources input for laptop to record, Then I would suggest you getting a decent condenser mic like studio project B1 or C1 with a pop filter instead of those usb ones. For sound proofing wise, I can't really tell you what to do, you just have to make sure that you get as much isolation as possible in your room to get the cleanest recording.

From what U'aint mentioned.. should cost around, 700 or 800. 400 plus for the firebox, 300 plus for the microphone, cable, and stand...my opinion would be Hung's bro to be the best place to buy these...or you could check out anywhere in sim lim as people mentioned that the prices there are more competitive.

thanks for the feedback man. but am not sure where hung's bro is.will check out sim lim. thought i could get it done with the samson g-track the price is great oh well
