Hi, thanks.. But i dont really have time to go to library..taking full time job, night class studies and church committment, plus relationship.. Hope to receive some guidance on maintaining drumset at the easiest and convenient way.. at the same time, people can learn and share their knowledge.. =)

Don't oil the chain, especially on higher end pedals. There are many instances I've heard from people that oiling destroyed their pedals. I don't know though, because I've been using my cheap Pearl stock pedal for about 2 years now without maintaining (besides cleaning) it, and it still works fine. Maybe do some research to see which product is suitable for some light oiling. But otherwise, don't bother doing that at all, just clean your pedals often. Remember to dry them completely.

As for your drumset, give them a quick wipe every few days to get rid of the dust on the surfaces. Regarding the cymbals, these can be a pain, especially with brilliant finished cymbals. I personally hate polishing my cymbals, but I still do it every few weeks when the dirt buildup is starting to annoy me.
