How to isolate vocals from a track?

hey, anyone know how to isolate vocals from a track? i mean, by isolate is to remove the music but keep the vocal. sure the quality will drop, but that can be worked out later..
any suggestion of programs or steps of doing it?

i have it alr. what to do next?

Get one original and instrument only track of the same song.
Make sure the timing and volume are the same(if possible).
Make one of them absolute out of phase.
With this method you could get lot of vocal with very minimum music.
