how to have a satin finish on guitar

hey softies..

ive spray painted my guitar with nippon pylox black paint.
i realised that there is a slight gloss...
i want to remove that gloss because i want a satin finish on my guitar
what do i do and how do i go about doing it using a less money as possible...
if there is a need to buy stuff pls state it down

try lightly sanding it down? cos gloss is caused by smooth surface by buffing. by making it slightly rough, it will deflect the light so won't be glossy.

what grit sanding paper can do the job?

eh.. no idea. just work with what you already have, sand lightly. sand abit, stop and observe. trial and error.

I believe I read somewhere you have to use a high grit, maybe something ard 1200 to 2000. The lower grit will remove the paint. I would suggest try it first on a piece of wood.

BTW, i'm thinking of painting one of my guitars as well, but in white. How many layers did u use and how many cans?

Just spray a satin clear coat over the black.
