How to get this tone?

Hello, need some of you softies to help me get the tone I like!

Sorry to trouble but I figured it might be better to let you hear what I want through the link above.

I want to get my guitar to sound something like that lead playing. I like the way the guitar sounds like crying/screaming? I don't really know how to describe this sound, is it fat? Maybe someone can enlighten me haha.

What kind of effects do I need? Or does the type of guitar/amp matters?

Well, definitely uses singlecoils, and probably on medium gain. Try an overdrive unit.
