Hi softies, I recently bought a zoom G2.1u. I connected my guitar to the pedal then connected it to the usb port of my computer. But i think i'm doing it wrong since it doesn't work. Is the pedal enough to connect my guitar to the computer so that the sound comes out from my speakers or do i need to use some sort of adapter?

Thanks.

By just connecting the USB to the comp you won't be able to monitor the sound without a DAW ( Digital Audio Workstation) like Pro Tools,Sonar, etc etc, and if I'm not wrong not all DAWs let you monitor your input tracks.

if u are using your pc speaker, u need a adapter for output of the g2 for your pc speaker and make sure the g2 is your default soundcard

thats simple. I have the G2.1U as well.

google Riffworks T4 and download that. then google ASIO4ALL and install that. make sure you've closed any programs that emit sound from media players to internet browsers. connect your guitar to the computer via USB and open Riffworks.

If theres any latency, just configure the ASIO settings accordingly and you're all set. I do a lot of recording and this is a great piece of software thats exceedingly easy to use.

hope this helps.

cheers!
