hmm.. was wondering if anyone knew how to clean frets.. cos it seems like mine seem to have some brown stuff (rust? or tarnish?) on it.. thanks a lot!!

zero-grade steel wool is available from the hardware store for removing fret stains. remember to mask your fretboard while scouring your frets....

where to buy the fret protector? anyone knows? i tink its essential..thanks for bringing up this topic

maybe can try fast fret.....
fast fret isnt really for cleaning, its more for maintaing strings n ur fretboard.

masking is usually sufficient enuff, u dont really need any fret protector. just put a few layers instead of onny one if u want to be safe. if u really still feel unsafe then i think the onli place to get fretboard guards wld be online, or u can try some shop at peninsular, but i doubt they'll have. or ask mikemann.

sorry for asking this here. i hear alot of ppl talking abuot lemon oil. i wanna ask wats the main use for lemon oil? wat can i use it for?

i try to avoid lemon oil and stuff...too much chemicals isn't good for the natural oil in the wood.

to each his own i guess

Can be used to clean your frets and fretboards.

I clean all my guitars with it. D Addario lemon oil.

Damp cloth. No chemicals (though technically water is a chemical lke everything else) and cheap and easy - unless you don't have water, say, f you live in Bolivia.

Wet a cloth and rub hard. Works for me. Also for dirty frets.
