How do you store your guitar?

Hey all,

Just want to know how does everyone here store their guitars. In a hard case? Hang on the wall? Guitar stand? etc.

I personally keep my guitars in their hard cases because:

1) I turn on the air con at night, i think if its in the guitar case the temperature wont change too drastically and affect the wood
2) Due to the constant change in temperature, i dont want and rust or corrosion to appear on the hardwares.
3) Guitar wont get accidentally knocked onto or drop etc.

But its also REALLY troublesome because I like to play my guitar while standing, means i have to put on the strap when i wanna play. With the strap on, the guitar will not fit into the hard case, so i have to keep taking on and off the guitar strap and they eventually become very loose.

So, just wanna know what everyone else does.

i put them in their case with few packs of dessicant. i used to just leave them all on guitar stands but dust buildup is quite fast and i don't have time to wipe them clean. i also use gfs fast fret before and after playing the guitar. used to refrain from using it but it's now a necessity to extend the life of the strings.

Mine are all hung on the wall; straps etc still on.

you can use straplocks so you won't have to worry about your strap getting loose when you take the strap on and off

I wanna do that for convenience sake but im afraid of the hardware becoming tarnished/corroded etc. Do your guitars have this problem?

VidaK: Yeah, i thought about it as well, but the original screw for the strap holder is already very big, so when i used the strap lock screw, it is very loose. The straplock can wobble after being screwed in.

Any ideas?
