How Do You Hold The Pick ?

i hold a pick with my second and middle finger, and the thumb.
but i use my finger most of the time, pick comes have i have blister.

between my index and thumb, and i employ a fret-mute / open palm technique for some of that motown thump!

I hold my pick with my thumb and 1st finger. I adapt the way i hold a pick for guitar b placing my fingers as near to the tip of the pick as possible. It gives better control over the strings for guitar but i'm not sure about bass. I still like fingers though. They give me a darker tone compared to picks.

pick held at the edge of the thumb, in the middle part of the index finger.

so the index kinda have to be curled so as to speak, the pick is in between the edge of my thumb and somewhere around the knuckle of the index finger...

by doing so, you can scream on your bass too !. with the help of overdrive of course.

err... yea i hold it with sort of my knuckle (the side of my finger, really) and my thumb...

and screaming with your bass on overdrive is not cool... unless you're billy sheehan, i don't see any other means where screaming bass would fit.

i hold it with my index finger and the "mid-joint" of my thumb..it depends actually. when im tremolo picking, i use my middle finger too..
