how do i wire this custom strat

anyone have a diagram for a strat with hss config + 2 pots (both push pull. 1 tone 1 vol) & a 5 way switch

pot 1 does coil splitting for the humbucker
pot 2 "turns" on the humbucker to get more combinations with the 5 way switch eg. neck + bridge and neck+mid+ bridge.

ive alreadu searched wiring sites and stuff. they either have 1 or the other.

hmm they all seem to have 3 pots. mine only has 2. and i dont see much custom wiring there with a push pull.. or am i missing something ?

Does it say "fender stratocaster" on it? Humbucker? Fat strat?

Doesn't really matter that guitar what... Wiring should be the same for all HSS guitars with 2 pots. haha

You can try combining wiring diagrams. Look at the normal HSS wiring without any mods. That's the wiring u will do for your guitar with both pots down (the 2 upper pairs of connectors on the pp pot). Then look for the "always on humbucker" mod, that's the change u needa do to 1 of ur pots. Lastly, get a wiring diagram for coil splits and that's the one u do for the other pot!

oh cause my "copy" only has 2 knobs not 3.

Oh okay, that's like my pacifica, 1 knob controls tone and the other, volume. I think original Strats have one knob controlling volume and 2 knobs controlling the volume of 2 different pups.

For diagrams involving 2 knobs, check out Dimarzio's website at DiMarzio.com

A number of wiring diagrams there use Ibanez RG as a template, but if you look at the instruction manual, you will be able to sort of understand how each pot works. Once you know that, I think you should be able to aga aga come out with your own wiring schematics cause its not very complex compared to say, Jimmy Page's insane LP mod. (If i'm not wrong, I think he had FOUR push pulls in there. O_O)
