How do I take a clip from an mp3?

I want to just cut out a 10 second clip from an mp3 song - does anyone know some good (free) software to do that please? Or can I just do it with Windows media player or something?

Ntrack studio 4 or something like that.

Cant remember the website, do a google search. I havent cut a song myself, but I heard its possible.

I use it for recording purposes. Pretty decent.

hello run "mp3 workshop" on google i used the program to cut segments of mp3 to be mp3 ringtone on my gf's phone. oh her tone for my phone is of cos Dance of Eternity hehe

Vern i got a freeware, very tiny mp3splitter, gimme ur email, i'll send to you.

windows movie maker can do it. juz import mp3 files, edit then save it. but it will save the file to wma format. juz encode it back to mp3. or juz try this
