Hotmail problems

Hey all,

I'm currently having problems with my Hotmail. I can sign in and out but I can only use classic, not full version. Furthermore, all the hyperlinks don't work and something like 'Javascript' and 'done, but with errors on page' at the bottom. That kinda stuff.

I'm wondering is this isolated (I.e. my server, or my computer) or something common (MSN servers, etc). Anyone else having this issue and anyone knows how to fix it?

i have that problem too! for like 3 days already.. damn irritating. i cant open any of my mails at all.. on firefox cant open, ie cant open..

wth lah.. no idea how to solve it

You guys must be Singnet subscribers.

Here's the fix:

Internet Explorer:
go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Settings or LAN Settings, and set your proxy server to "proxy.singnet.com.sg" with port 8080.

Firefox:
go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Connection > Settings, and set your proxy server to "proxy.singnet.com.sg" with port 8080.

It doesn't work on IE either.

Lexxmexx: that's for IE, right? Is it the same port and proxy if I'm using Mozilla? Thanks! I'm Singnet by the way, you guessed correct. And it sucks... Always disconnecting.

For Firefox, the go to Tools > Options > Advanced > Connection > Settings

Select Manual Proxy Configuration. Under HTTP Proxy, type proxy.singnet.com.sg and port 8080. Do not touch anything else. Should work.

But kinda wondering, why does Singnet broadband behave this way... Must manually configure... Did Singtel block Hotmail?

so much for emailing them telling them abt the problem and they told me to do a hell lot of stuff like downloading latest java, optimising IE and stuff like that and in the end still doesnt work. haha.

Could be a windows + singtel problem? I'm using ubuntu and having no problems with hotmail on fox.

Oops. Can access but javascript not working haha. I don't use hotmail much though. Not exactly affected.

no, not limited to windows. i'm on a macbook and i also got the same problem, but it works after i did what lexxmexx said. in fact, i find it weird that i was able to use hotmail by using windows xp on my macbook.

eh can already after i changed to full version. before using full version, couldnt select all and delete and some other stuffs. hmm....

eh yeah , i thought it was the macbook cause only when i switch it to windows i can delete my mails, it's damn annoying cause i'm a windows noob

i cant open my mails too!no matter in firefox or ie

edit:
but when i switch to full version it's okay and i dont have to change the proxy to singnet though im a singnet user.
