hi guys
i just started using acid pro 5.0 for recording.when i plug my bass straight into the com and play,i cannot hear any sound while playing.i can only hear after the sound is recorded.there's also a loud buzz surrounding the sound.

1)should i plug my bass into a preamp before going into the computer?what kind of devices can i use as a preamp?

2)what must i do so i can hear my bass sound while playing?

3)any other tips on how to make my recording sound better?

how do u "plug" into the computer? direct-in?

to get better sound quality.. u should buy a recording audio interface.. direct-in cause a lot of distortion.. thats from my previous experience..dunno about yours.

since u are only recording one track right? then i think u can try the line6 products..such as the toneport GX and UX1..

oh ya..u can only listen to your record playback but cannot hear yourself without recording is because u must turn on this button called "monitor"..

if u have problem monitoring yourself in real time, such as very high latancy.. then post another reply again.. cuz its a bit complicated and no point telling u if u dun have the latancy problem..

well.. since u said u downloaded acid pro..hahahah y not download another one more? try cubase. good luck!
