Dear All,

From the subject, i guess you can already tell i am a NOOB.. please bared with me, while i try to seek help from lao jiao here... :)

i was browsing some fender guitars from PGS (proguitarshop), and mainly looking at the prices... because of the cheap US$ now and with the free shipping from PGS i am completing whether to import them or not.

I am basically trying to compare prices, and i am having trouble doing that because there are like hundreds of different model with the same body... like Fender American standard..

While comparing price with this one - http://proguitarshop.com/store/guit...-american-standard-stratocaster-rw-cfm-p-3051

and i found a used model, for example - http://www.guitar77.com/index.php?p...ategory_id=82&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=53

aint them the same except for the color? American Standard Stratocaster?

Thanks for the enlightenment and time in answering... :)

well for one thing their fretboards are already made of different types of wood. the one in PGS is rosewood and the one in blue is prolly made of maple. the sounds will be slightly different already just based on the fretboard alone.

They are different in terms of year of construction. yes they both are Fender American Standards but the one G77 is selling is one made before 1993 (if I'm not wrong) when they changed the silver lining Fender Logo to the traditional type Fender spaghetti logo. Spec wise they are almost the same. The new ones come with the cool looking SKB flight case.
