HELP with guitar volume

im not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but i need help..
I own an Epiphone Special-II GT.
I bought it somewhere in 2009. The problem with the guitar is that i have to turn the volumee on the amplifier up just to hear a bit of a clean tone. i do not think it is the amplifier's problem as i tested the guitar on another amplifier and the result is the same. I also tested my other guitar and it works as normal ( i do not have to max out the volume on the amplifier)
can anyone help me on this?
and is there any way for me to fix the problem, besides sending my guitar to the repair shop?

One of your hardware got problem, or pickups spoil. Try changing input jack first.

Check your cable aswell? I have a feeling just like mine, it was cables that was the problem with my PRS last time

could be input jack too ... best to bring to a qualified repairer for checking
