help with Audio Interface

I'm planning to get an audio interface.

After much research, narrowed down the choices to these two.

Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 vs. Presonus FireStudio Tube.

What are your advices.

My main recording are vocals, guitars, (acoustic, electric, bass) and maybe a drum set. Basically a whole band. All these will probably be multi-tracked. I'm gonna run it into my macbook pro running logic. How are these interfaces with logic? And any other things i should take note with this two interfaces.

Anybody know the prices of both? Budget is quite tight, cause getting a pair of monitors as well.

Appreciate all the advices and comments.
Thanks in advance.

Whilst I haven't used either of the interfaces that you have mentioned, I can recommend some alternatives... you may wanna check out the audio interfaces from RME and Apogee. Both of these sound really good for the buck and work well with Logic.

Both RME and Apogee interfaces are gonna cost a fair bit more than the Focusrite or Presonus ones you mentioned. The RME Fireface series is one to consider if budget permits. As for Apogee, if you want to multi-track drums, the Duet won't be sufficient for you which probably means you need to get at least the Ensemble. From what I know, RME or Apogee comes at a premium price man, and seeing that you're on a tight budget, probably not the best way to go.

The Presonus Firestudio Tube should be 1.2K upwards. Not sure about the Focusrite.

Hmm, yah. I've seen the Apogee. Can't remember the model though.

judging from the prices online, the focusrite seems cheaper than the presonus. I was told the presonus firestudio tube is 1.2k.

Actually leaning towards the focusrite now. But i'm afraid it does not work well with logic.
