help w/ Multi effects Pedal

Hi Softies,

Need some advise here...
I actually own the BOSS Gt-10, but im recently crazy over tube driven stuffs.

My friend who has been poisoning me with his Tonelab SE which is also driven by 12AX7 tubes.
I am actually thinking should i sell my Gt-10 and get a G9.2tt?

What are your views?

Comparing the Gt-10 and G9.2tt which would be better? I am a BOSS multi efx user for 5years already.
G9.2tt seems a little difficult to change around.

BOSS or ZOOM? ><
Price difference is heaven and hell ...Gt-10 is 1550 from Sweelee, Zoom G9.2tt is 580 from city music...

Like i said i owned the Gt-10 already just thinking if i should change or stick to it...
Does the 12AX7 preamp tubes really do work?

Was thinking a tube driven pedal plus my tube amp...will it sound doubly sick?

Im just trying to find out if the efx board w/ tube really do sound better?

No. If the tubes do make the 'sound better', there's no reason why the GT-10 should be more popular than the G9.

If i am not wrong the tubes in the G9 are just used in a post distortion power amp stage. Hence the distortion tones shouldnt have much difference from a non tubed zoom unit isnt it. Probably the tubes just make it warmer.

I think your GT10 plus a TSL should be far more killer than the zoom g9 hahaha. i have not owned any of them though LOLOL

tubes in FX units don't work the same chemistry as tubes in an amp. to many of us, we are too quick to revere effects units with tubes in them, the final performance of the effect unit per se should dictate whether it's preferred/ likable.

you should try other pedal board with the capability of the GT 10 then u will begin to think actually the weight of GT 10 is quite light lol
