Help!!somethign wrong with my guitar!!

Hey guys,
i was playing at a gig recently and suddenly there was no sound outta my amp...so i checked everyhting adn something was worng with my guitar....no sound seems to be comin out.....when i connected to my friends zoom and turned up the gain really high...a faint clean sound with extra echo is comin out for some reason...i dunno what the problem is....anybody got any suggestions...there is no guitar repair shop in my city so i need to do it myself...any sites or anything??would appreciate any help...thanks...

open the rear cavity of your guitar to look at the input jack connection- check whether it's in tact.
