Hi guys, i would to inquire about how i can connect my electronic drum kit to a garage band in macbook. Do i need to buy a midi interface to record a drum track ? If i do, where can i buy it and how much it will cost me ? This is my first time doing this, so im pretty much lost.

Thank you!

MSI MIDImate (Sim Lim square 1st floor)
M Audio MIDI Sport Range (Sinamex - Paradise center B1)
Tapco MIDILink USB (Hung Bros Sim Lim 3rd floor)
Any Mac supported Audio/MIDI interface (Motu, Maudio, Presonus etc)

After installing drivers
- Go to the Utilities folder and launch Audio/MIDI setup and click on the MIDI tab (You should see your device)
- Double click the device icon to view more info (You should see "Online")

To trigger Drumkits from GBand or 3rd Party software drumkits (BFD/Superior/Additive)

- Turn on Drum module and choose a GM kit (General MIDI Mapped, Standard kit)
- MIDI out from your drum module into the usb interface
- Usb interface into your Mac
- Launch GBand and create a software instrument
- Insert your choice of Drumkit
- Have fun

Best,
