[HELP] on choosing overdrive pedal

hi, i know this has been discussed a couple of times, but couldnt find specifically the info i need..

am looking to buy an overdrive pedal, for blues, rock and pop playing. budget is about $150. was recommended BOSS but dunno wad model to get... can yall give advice?? thx.. btw, am using Ibanez RG-370...

I recommend a Boss SD1. However it might be too muddy on ur Ibanez (its quite muddy in nature).

Anyway a SD1 goes for < $60 second hand so i feel it's quite worth the buy.

for blues rock and pop. a ibanez ts-9 will suit your overdrive needs very well .
