Help needed on Mapex QR kit

I juz wanna ask, may consider buying a kit in future...

For those people who own a Mapex QR series kit ( i noe Eric has one ), since the bass drum is lifted and not realli in contact wif the floor, does that reduce the bass sound frm travelling downwards to the downstair neighbours?

there is a distance but it is not that much, better to have carpet to absorb some sound, or play soft.
