i'm living in hdb n i'm tired of playing on muffle skin of da pearl rt.
dudes wat can i do to help muffle da sound...
thx ! ! ! !

hey, if ifeel ur pain, i also stay in hdb flat, I jus play without muffling but not hard hitting like in the studios.... i jus end my session before 7pm occasionally 9 pm, before any neighbours complaint. If i want to hit hard and get the feel i stuff newspapers in the toms, snares...
Anyway when u play without muffling, play at a moderate level.. reasonnable and responsible...
Jus my 2 cents worth
P.S Can also test the tolerance level of your neighbours...
Cheers :partyman:

Hey yeah that's a good point. For those who live in a HDB flat, why don't you review your playing technique? perhaps you are playing too hard, too brash, too loud. I've never had problems yet (i live in a HDB). I never play hard at all. If you're looking to practice metal drumming, then I suggest to move out. If you practice 'normal' pop/rock drumming then i suppose its fine.

Maybe use light rimshots for backbeats instead of whacking the snare, then when you really play in performances you just rimshot harder.

i think you should just try to control ur sound.cause its just for practice no need for all the loud bashing yaa.but then if u want to then go sound proof ur room or something. :)
