Hi guys. I've been playing the guitar for a little while (I got one of those beginner electric guitar packages) and I'm ready to get an acoustic guitar!! :)

With my budget, I was thinking of getting an electro-acoustic guitar. I had my eye set on the Ibanez V70CE, but I heard Ibanez acoustics aren't good... PLUS my hands are super small. (I'm a girl) So I'm looking for something with a short/narrow neck and small body. Would a Takamine be good? They're all standard size though right? :(

Please help! I'm new to all this!

Thanks in advance!! :D

haha u got electric before acoustic? normally its the other way around.

nice budget u got there. try maestro acoustic guitars. takamine could do too. unfortunately i'm not too familiar with acoustic guitars. i havent touched one in months.

go and try them see which one feels best in ur hands

Simon and Patrick will be good. I'm not very sure if they have 500SGD range but they arnt very expensive for it's quality.

takamines have a narrow neck.. but they are mostly dreadnoughts, big body..

small neck small body?recommend yamaha.. i hate their electric.. but their acoustic are really good.

o.O ibanez acoustics no good? Why dont u try the artwood series? im getting an artwood soon. They are one of the best within their price range. =) good luck dude!

hey man...sorry.hey gal,try sniffing around swee lee or davis guitar, the other day i was at peninsula plaza i saw many acoustic guitars under 500 bucks.and there were many models and brands available too,you could spend some time around there.

Cheers.

artwoods are not bad, but not the best for the money you pay. as in, there are guitars out there that are better for the money. i highly recommend takamine. great value for your money. you could try the lower-end G series guitars (350 dollars upwards) or D series (pretty damn cheap).

today i tried one 650 dollar takamine. really nice sounding and great feel. i'm a player that can't play anything except guitars with necks as comfortable as fender necks (my main guitar is a short scale jaguar). i can't stand the thick les paul necks as well as the thin ibanez neck. in a way i'm really really really picky about the feel, and i felt right at home with the takamine. i was quite tempted and might get one if not for the fact that i only had 60 dollars in my wallet. and it wasn't even completely solid. it had laminated back and sides.

alternatively, yamaha acoustics are good as well.
