i am thinking of replacing the stock pickups on my Epiphone Les Paul Junior with Dimarzio X2N. Hmmmm.. What do you guys think?

What do we think?
It's your sound.
It's what you think.
At the most listen to some clips on youtube...

What amp are you using?
Amp is key factor.
Pickup changes might not be noticeable if you're using some shitty 10 watt amp.

if you can get the pickups 2nd hand at $80 then i think go ahead and try if that's the type of sound you're looking for. X2N is considered quite an extreme tone shaping pickup, like the evos, tonezones and H from hells. you will definitely hear a very big difference in tone from your stock pickups, and it can be a love / hate thing so better check if you really like the sound first from online clips and videos

if its the Epiphone Classic 57 Alnico pickups, you can try to remove the covers
They actually sound quite nice.
I never really liked X2N, was actually on my first electric (2nd hand), i removed them .... ha ha ha

Ive been playing the same epi lp jr for 5 years. In its 3rd year with me i changed its pups to a brandless korean dog-ear p90. It made me sell away my prs mccarty to my uncle, not for money issues but the tone of the mccarty couldnt compare to my jr..... Though i am thinking of switching to jazzmaster in the future. I say just do it.
