ok guys, this post is really a post of me seeking help/advice.

i feel uber desperate now. lol.

just restringed my guitar to a new string gauge so i decided to do a neck adjustment too, to make it straighter.

its my 1st time adjusting the neck for this guitar btw. then i realised the allen key supplied when i purchase the guitar cannot fit into the hole. i tried with my own set of allen keys and none fit in too. the size is almost there, but it seems like the allen key is 0.5mm thicker or even lesser.

any advice on this? i dun wanna make the hole become from the hexagonal shape to round shape by forced turning. =(

u might wanna bring your guitar down for a setup. DIY goes wrong, RIP to guitar. ESP if your neck cracks. at least u can consult your luthier on what size Allen key to use.

if bolt on still can save...if set neck or worse neck through body...then GG loh

No need to panic, lah. It's pretty simple.

There are 2 standards for hex key sizes : metric (mm) and imperial (inches). Your problem is likely the use of incompatible standards. If your hex key is marked with an M, then it's metric; if has fractions (like 7/16) or # sign, then it's imperial. Just get the correct size will do.

Unless of course yours requires the hollow socket types (like Ibanez RGs), then different story liao.
