ok after picking up guitar for almost 3 years by myself, i think it's time i get some professional guidance. i haf musical background for many years so theory isnt much of a problem, more on practical.. so guys who do you recommend for rock/metal and shred? well actually someone at swee lee recommended me his fren Justin from allmusic.. any opinions anyone??

yes, he is good. i understudy him for bout 4 mths, he was really patient for me although i was a noobie that time. was learning blues, rock blues. he has good technique and gives you good practice on theory and practicals. however, you got to bust your pocket cos his time is not cheap<=only complain i have
