Good day to all,
I am offering acoustic and electric guitar lessons for entry level (beginner) onwards. Lessons can either be conducted at your house or at mine. Lesson material will be provided. Content will be basic guitar skills/theory (will advance according to student's capability), anatomy of guitar, effect pedals, rock music and pop music.
My background:
I've been playing guitar for 7 years now. Ive took classical guitar classes when i first started out. After which i went to take lessons from club players, who works daily as playing guitar is their bread and butter. I've had classical piano training and attained a grade 3 for piano and a grade 2 for music theory from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). The things which i learnt from my classical training has been very useful for my guitar journey. Like all other classically trained musicians, my music foundation is strong and this is essential for any music instrument practitioners (no matter what style of music you're playing). I am more comfortable with the guitar as compared to the piano because my real passion is with the 6-string-ed instrument. I have been teaching guitar for 2 years, ranging from young kids to tertiary students. I performed regularly at times for school events, Uni convocations, local gigs.. etc.
Lesson fee:
Individual: $25 / hr (at my house), $35 / hr (at your house)
Pair (teaching will be done at the same time, 2 students max): $40 / 1.5 hr (at my house), $50 (at your house)
Student requirements:
Have their own guitar.
Must be able to practice at their own time. This is to ensure that students will improve.
I understand what it is like to be a music student. Thus, i will progress according to the student's capability. I will setup learning environment where there will be no unnecessary pressure and will teach according to the student's preference. Communication is vital. You will not be confused will all the jargons and music related issues that can be found in the internet when you are learning on your own. There will be proper guidence with my lessons.
