I think you have to walk around to determine which is your preferred guitar store. Service varies for different people IMO.

In the peninsular / excelsior hotel basement itself, there are:

1) Guitar 77
2) TYMC
3) Guitar Connection
4) Sound Alchemy
5) Music Theme
6) Davis
7) SV Guitars
8) Maestro

hope I didn't miss any.

All of them are good but of course depends on what you are looking for.

City Music and Luthermusic are good music stores in general. Do some research on prices before making any decisions.You'll find certain stores do tend to overprice their items and you wanna stay off those...
