Guitar Spotted!

Hi guys,

Im starting this thread to share decent guitars that have been spotted for sale locally (Guys and gals please share if you spot a good offer). If the price is competitive, the better:) By sharing this, i hope the more unfortunate amongst us (and students) will be able to reap the reward of this sharing. The end state is to see more people enjoy playing the guitar :)

Of coz, the person who spots the guitar sale offer would likely not be interested in that particular guitar. If not, he or she would have bought it ;)

Ok, here goes. Today, i spot a Black Epiphone Dot guitar at Admiralty MRT Station Cash Converter, selling for SGD$399. It looks to be in very good shape - i would rate it a 9/10 and it looks all stock. Do not know, whether it comes with a Soft case or a Hard case. For those Beginner and Intermediate Jazz player, i believe this is a great guitar to consider.

From the same display, i also see a Blue Washburn X Series guitar with 2 humbuckers and a black Swing guitar. Did not pay attention to the price though. Sorry.

Hope, this thread will continue for as long as possible to so that many will be able to gain from it.

Cheers!

the used buy sell has a lot of good deals tbh.

as NSF with little play time i still blew 2k of my hard earned allowance the past 2 months ):

LadyInTears,

Yup agree that the Used Buy/Sell has lots of good deals every now and then. I started this thread over and above what the many great deals Soft has at the Buy/Sell sections. At the end of the day, the pool of great deals get bigger and players get more choices :)

Are you an NSF Officer? ;) Only NSF Officer will get that kinda allowances over 2 months...

Epiphone dot?! That's like the guitar that i always wanted...but admiralty too far. If that was in Tamp, I'll be running to buy it! Have an SG, a Jagmaster and a telly... but an archtop is what I really want.

there's a Swing guitar being sold at $640 if im not wrong over at SV Guitars down at peninsula plaza. good guitar for jazz, blues and rock. Tone is great, the neck is not that thick either imho. For those with the budget, it's a good buy. It comes in black and sunburst.

breakthe8, Bro dodgethis is correct. If you take bus 969 from Tampines interchange, you just need ard 30-40mins to reach Admiralty MRT Station. Best the bus stops at the MRT itself.

Bro LadyInTears, did not know that a normal Guardsman got that kinda allowance. Good for you then:) So are you from 1 or 3 or from LSC?

Bro ThyHornyDemon, actually i started the thread is more from "lobang" out of "real" guitar shop. It would however be apt for this thread if the shops offer real good offers, meaning like 40% or more from the normal retail price. But, nonetheless, it is good to see you share something which you deem as good offers. Thanks for the sharing.

Btw, Both the Washburn and Swing at Admiralty MRT Station Cash Converters are priced at SGD$2XX. They are both Superstrat types.

added to your rep - well done TS

Now how about sightings for great parts & other stuff bargains ... ?

There is a swing R2 plus if i'm not wrong, going for $350 at guitar workshop Bras Basah. I think it's going for clearance price. Hope this helps.

Hi guys,

Wanna update that the Black Epiphone Dot is nowhere to be seen at Admiralty MRT Station Cash Converter anymore. Same goes with the Blue Washburn X series and Black Swing guitar. Looks like it has been sold.

Thanks Bro relinquish69 and Bro fgl. Im just sharing what i think will benefit the local guitar players generally. Bro fgl, i think as my post count is low, i will not be beneficial to your ups right? No worries, the main thing is to share lobangs!! :)

Oic Bro LadyInTears. Congrats on your SGD$200 gold incentives ;)

Thanks Bro alshit for the contribution. What is the colour of the guitar and what's the condition?

Good nite all!! Cheers!

Hey people, my first contribution.

For those into weird vintage stuff, there's a Ace Frehly Silvertone Guitar at AMK Cash Converter going for $200. Condition wise, i'll say u'll probably need to fix the electronics on it. But the body and neck looks solid.

N there's the Photogenic Flying-V guitar, over at Bedok Cash Converter. Damn chio man, n i think it's maroon n white. Selling for $185. Strings rusty, dusty but got potential..

Bro Breakthe8,

Thanks for sharing.....Silvertone Guitars are nice low to medium price guitars. I remembered i bought one Silvertone Strat from Cash Converter before for just SGD$100. The feel and tone was great.....definitely can beat any guitars at price up to SGD$500. Gave away that guitar to a friend who likes it alot :)

Bro MrBlade HedrusH,

Thanks for haring too.....heard that Japanese kids like Photogenic guitars.....Dunno much about them though....But thanks!

Hi Peeps,

Hope the 2012 and LNY has been good for you guys?! :)

Anyway, wanna update this thread. An Electric Yamaha RGX320FZ has been sighted at Admiralty MRT Station Cash Converter.
It is in dull green colour. Guitar looks in good-great condition. Price is SGD$160+. From my little understanding of this guitar,
it will suit players at all level. Here is a review of it...
