anyone knows where to get guitar speakers?

eg. celestion vintage 30 locally?

anyone ordered from eurotubes before anyway?

What tubes are you after? Well audio at Burlington (mentioned by Timex in another thread) has got a very good selection.

actually they have JJ EL84s but no JJ 12AX7.. Would it be a good idea to mix EH gold 12AX7s with JJ EL84s?

Ah ok thx for that link..

Actually how hard would it be to change tubes? Would it require like bias adjustments or something? Or does it just involve pulling out and replacing the tubes?

And as for the gold EH 12AX7, is it actually worth the extra cost or is it just a marketing gimmick? And would a balanced pair be needed for 3 12AX7 tubes with one as a phase splitter and matched EL84 tubes be needed? Thinking about a Laney LC-15R.

preamp tubes need not be biased (12AX7 ) However the power tubes do(EL34,EL84 etc)

Its not difficult to change the tubes at all. turn off the mains, unplug, wait an hour or so for the reservoir to drain, wear a pair of slippers, use only one hand to remove the tubes and replace.

If you ae going for a full tube job, why not bring the amp down to the supplier and ge them to change and biase for you. Biasing is supposed to increase your tube life.

Currently i am using cheapo EI 12AX7 and i am geting squeals at hi gain. Will try he Elecro Harmonics.
