B Berck New member May 7, 2007 #1 I have a question regarding string gauges. I have my acoustic guitar set up using 12s to 53s gauges, can I restring my guitar using a light-medium gauge now? The 'Bass' strings are now at 35,45,56 instead of 32,42,53? Thank you!

M markedymark New member May 8, 2007 #2 the change in string gauge is quite large, i recommend getting it re-setup, or you might face tuning instabilty or other problems.
