Hey people, I'm wondering if theres any guitar service shops or anyone who's able to do Fret cleaning & polishing, Restringing, Respringing & accurate set-up of my Floyd Rose from gauge 10s to 11s, with all fourths tuning starting from Low D. My axe is in need of a set-up but I've yet been successful with the past servicemen i enthrusted my guitar to.
Please recommend me your luthiers, thanks in advance ppl!

why respringing? There are a couple at excelsior, TYMC, Sound Alchemy, SV, if you want the higher end ones, go to Malcolm, his set ups are really good!

Cuz I've been abused my whammy bar for quite some time so I'll need new springs, though more importantly is Im not sure of the springs to use that will sit properly for my gauge n tuning. Malcom's good, I'll try asking him!

I think more like resharpening of the blade of your FR, rather than respringing. Those strings don't lose tension that easily.

I saw this and got curious. What do you mean by resharpening of the blade on the Floyd Rose? More info would help.

The way the FR works is that it uses a blade as a pivot, so after a lot of usage, the blade will tend to wear out, causing some issues with the bridge such as tuning instability etc. Therefore the blade needs to be resharpen to allow the bridge to be in optimum shape again.

Great, thanks for the info!

You wont need re-springing, but you will need to add in more springs for the high gauge. U probably wont need to refile the knife edges for a long time. MAB uses OFR right?
