hey newbie here got a question to ask

um 1st is i start to see thry the guitar scales
and i udnerstnad the one with just one number on it
but some notes have 2 number can i ask whats the 2nd number for?
its the same as the first number

I don't really get what you mean. But here's what i can help you out with. Remember that the open notes for the guitar in standard E tuning (from top to bottom) are E A D G B E.

Try looking up the major and minor scales. Some give you tabs, some give you notes. If it's notes that they give you, you can figure out where they are on the fretboard by counting down from the open strings. I hope that helps, tried to explain in the simplest way i can think of.

Example: The F note can be found on either the 6th String (E) or the 4th String (D).

From the E string it'll be on the 1st fret, from the D string it'll be on the 3rd fret.
